Hi There

Can HP SIM be setup to poll the status of a website?

We use a piece of software which we can check the status of using a website on that server. It would be useful if this can include with HP SIM.

Or can HP SIM be setup the poll a particlar service?

SIM can only perform polling for nodes/devices it has discovered.
I think, technically, it's workable - the HS of the server (hosting the website) can be set based on status of website. You may want to put a word about this to support team as a "desirable" SIM feature.

A free product that does this is Nagios, you might want to investigate that.

HPSIM can monitor windows services and generate an alert if they stop / start.
