topic Disk Threshold changes not staying in Server Management - Systems Insight Manager

I've got a problem where I set my disk thresholds and within an hour I go back in there and they are reset back to what must be the default Warning of 17%. I've got this problem on both the old IM 7.2 server and the new HPSim 4.01. I have checked the SNMP community strings and all is correct. I have done a search for the SNMPreg.conf file and do not find it on either the managing server or the agent device. These are all Win2K systms. Where else could I look that it would be resetting these values within an hour on any systems I set? HELP

Hi,

First off, make sure that you have a READ CREATE SNMP community string defined on your Win2K clients. A READ WRITE string will not let you define threshholds.

Secondly, it is possible to create a task which sets disk threshholds; is it possible that there is an hourly taks running that you don't know about?

Hope this helps.

Good luck,
- Steve
