Check that your discovery filters are set to discover unknown and unmanaged. I normally make this change when I'm trying to troubleshoot or find a system. My guess is you'll find it once the filter is set correctly. Once you figure out the problem and get it corrected you might want to set the filters back

Hi there,

I just installed Systems Insight Manager 5.2 with SP1 and discovered my machines.

I miss one machine in the list "All systems", when I try do add it manually, SIM said "A system already exists with the name you provided"

But it is not shown!

I can see the machine with mwnode at the console. I saw, that the machine has a Device Type "Other". Could this be the problem, why it is not shown under "All systems"?

What can I do?

Thanks for your help

Volker
I deletd and rediscovered it more than once. It is not shown under "All Systems" or anywhere else, but it is in the database, which I can see with the "mxnode" at the command line.

I have no discovery filters activ. And as I said before, the machine is discovered from the system but is not shown.

I can delete it with the tool and rediscover it. Then the system also shows me, that it is adding one machine and when I start der discovering a second tine, the system told me, that there is already a machine with this name. But he didn't show it ...

I think it has something to do with the device type of the machine. It has a status type "other" which is not listed in any type list. Maybe this is the reason why it is not shown.

I have no idea .....
