Reg: Storage Essentials (Port scanning)

I have installed SE in one of our windows 2003 server. I want to know whether SE will do port scanning. Because my network team complains that the server in which we have installed Storage Essentials is scanning the ports in the firewall and they suspect that the server is affected with virus or worm.

I want know whether the software will do port scanning if so kindly post me the documents related to this.

The link is not working and u have reffered to the SE guide, but i want to know whether SE software will do port scannig or not.
