Hello,

You can create a customized baseline support pack in your VCRM (you select what you want to update) and deploy it via HP SIM on your selected servers.

Willou

Hello

Is there a way to only update the drivers you currently have on a server?

Rather than doing it manually (through the VCA page, I have 200 servers!) or selecting to install the whole support pack (i dont want things like SAS notification driver etc).

Thank you!
That's what the VCA does, it only installs what's required.
It will update the drivers and agents that are applicable to your server / OS.

Yes, but we do not want ALL the drivers that the support pack tries to install. These are just array tools and utils that are not needed.

It seems its either:

1. Click on the support pack install and get all the drivers (even if you didnt have some installed before.

Or

2. Manually update each driver by clicking on the "install" icon, so you only update the ones that are alraddy installed.

I think I may just have to go ahead and install everything...depending what the boss says....

The PSP is a tested bundle. You tend to get more issues when you try and split it up.
The PSP shouldn't install any unnecessary drivers, but it will install a number of utilities as you've identified.
The utilities don't take up much space and can be useful.
