What's the best way to create a friendly URL to bring up the HPSIM login screen for HPSIM v5.2?

I would like to be able to browse to 'HPSIM' and it lead to HTTPS://<SERVER>.<DOMAIN>:<PORT>. If it were IIS, it's a no-brainer, however I am at a lose how to perform this using whatever web server that comes with HPSIM v5.2.

Thanks!</PORT></DOMAIN></SERVER>

Not sure that you're going to be able to do that. HPSIM is just an application that listens on; https://hpsimserver:50000

If you had IIS installed on the server HPSIM is installed on then you may be able to set up a page there to do the redirect.

Hi Red,
I just created a new website in IIS, that's just a rediredctor to SIM.

On the home directory tab, check the "A redirection to a URL" . In the redirect to box, type https://yoursimserver.yourdomain.com:5000/

Then check the box that says "The exact URL entered above".

You will need to get a dns alias setup for you web server (i.e. hpsim.yourdomain.com is aliased to your webserver.yourdomain.com)

Hope this helps. Works for me!

Cheers,
Jerame

Sorry for the delayed response and thank you for the feedback.

I'm assuming there is no issue installing IIS on the HPSIM server - i.e. no conflict with the web services that accompany HPSIM?

Thanks again.
Red
