SIM uses same database schema as old Insight Mgr 7?

We are using Insight Mgr 7 SP2 and we have linked a couple applications to the CIM databases. Does SIM 4.x use the same database schema? Does anyone know where I can find more detailed documentation on this? The CIM 7 documentation detailed all the database tables, but the SIM 4.x documents look very skimpy so far.

No, they're not the same. There's a lot of new stuff to stick in the tables that IM7 didn't have to keep track of.

Find the schema in the "HP Systems Insight Manager Help Guide" at http://www.hp.com/servers/manage --> hpSIM --> Information Library. It starts on page 191.
