Hi,

I have my HPSIM setup on Windows server. It is at latest level of 5.2. As of now it is monitoring my Unix servers for availability. Now as the requirement comes I need to monitor my servers for CPU, memory and disk. I heard that HPSIM is more effective on HP servers. How could I manage my HPUX servers which are the veriety of integratiy server using HPSIM.

Please guide.

Thanks

hi panks,

go to the hp website and download at least the wbem core services for hp-ux. configure as per the install instructions. see this link :-

http://docs.hp.com/en/418810-003/ch04s01.html?btnNext=next%A0%BB

you should then be able to set thresholds for cpu and disk usage through the web interface for each server.

good luck

panks,

in HP SIM server gui, go to options --> events. --> automatic event handling --> new task. using this you can create a task that wil automatically e-mail you when these events occur. also under options check and set your settings for your chosen e-mail server.

good luck
