Windows 2000 servers in SIM

I have W2k servers reporting out of date software on their homepage and therefore into SIM. This because they aren't up to the 8.1 PSP that our VCR is at, nor will they ever get there, since 7.6 was the last W2k supported PSP.

I'm wondering how other people are getting around this? There has to be some workaround, or some way to make it so that I don't have these Win 2000 servers "cluttering" up my health status listings. Is there some way to disable them from reporting software status info to SIM?

Just leave the Baseline set at 7.6. If you're not setting a baseline it will set to the latest versions available I think.

Also check that the box "when checked, software status... " is not checked.

With this the VCA will report as up to date.

And doing this, our 2003 servers will still show out of date if they aren't up to 8.1? I forgot to mention that in the original post. Thanks!!!!

You set Baselines for individual servers.
You can replicate the settings, set a baseline for a selected W2K Server and then use that to replicate to other W2K servers.

The Baseline for the W2K3 can be set to whatever is the latest Baseline you've downloaded.
