Automatic Event handler not responding to events

Having issue getting Automatic Event handler to send and email.
Can gernate a critical for a system unreachable. Event registers in SIM.
Auto Event handler does not repond to event.
can send test emails ok.
Auto event handler has a last run time...this never changes...can not find a scheduling or related function to force run on Auto event handler.

I haven't come across this,

If u haven't tried , How about creating a new task against and verify if that too has the problem

First, check you Automatic Event definition to make sure it is using the right criteria. Then check the logs to see if there are any reported issues.
