topic Notification from SIM 5.2 sp2 when server is down in Server Management - Systems Insight Manager

I have recently installed the latest version of SIM on a different SIM W2k3 server and I can't get SIM to notify me when a server is down. I have verified the snmp com string and the trap address and its all good. I can adjust threshold setting and always get notified but never get an email when a server is down. I have been working with insight for about 8 years but am now stuck and frustrated! What am I missing?
Thanks in advance!

Jeff

Well, I have gone through the re-setup of the hardware discovery task and it seems to be working now. I found some old posts that where others seemed to have had the same luck.

Thanks!
