It looks like alot of the current management packs will not work with 5.3 so I would wait until they are available before installing V5.3.

HP Vulnerability and Patch Management Pack V3.00 or greater required

HP Performance Management Pack V5.0 or greater required

HP Virtual Machine Mangement Pack 3.6 or greater

HP Insight Control Management Pack 3.00 or greater

HP Remote Suport Pack A05.20 or greater

HP insight Power manager 2.0 or greater

The safest and easiest method to acquire and install HP SIM plus the management option software is through the (now renamed) Insight Software DVD set. It is scheduled to post to the web on 26 Jan.

Already ran into a problem with the RSP included in the SIM 5.3 package.

For the Proxy configuration, if you don't have a proxy, it won't let you continue at all.

I got from all my machines following event:

Event Time: Fr, 23.01.2009, 08:08 CET
Description: If this system is not being identified as HP Virtual Partition or not correctly associated to its host, please ensure that HP Virtual Partition WBEM instrumentation is properly installed and running before re-identify the system to fix this problem.

Can anyone tell me, why Insight send this event for ALL server???
