topic ILO boards in IM7 in Server Management - Systems Insight Manager

Insight manager is picking up the ILO boards for my servers, but when the board names are listed, they don't always have the server name associated with tehm. For example, some management Processor entries will be listed as ILO-xyz in server xyz, while other instances it will be just ILO-xyz or just the IP address. What setting can give me both the ILo name and the server name?

hi, i had the same problem with some old servers (pl5500). after installing the rib, you must go to the systempartion (smart start 5.50) to discover the new hardware.

if you have new servers look into the following forum: http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=607420

best regards
chris
