Threshold/polling settings in HP SIM 5.3 -- Need ASAP

can anybody tell me how i can set thresholds on CPU, Memory and many other from HP SIM, this should apply to all managed nodes.

Example, if CPU is above 90% send an alert.

Also, for alerts i need to setup the polling interval,

Example, if the system is unreachable, poll for some time, if its still unreachable send an alert,

where can i configure all above alerts.

Your help would be appreciated.

hi,

the polling interval can be set by editing the hardware status polling task under tasks and logs.

hi,

AFAIK only disk threshold levels can be set centrally, cpu and memory are set in the individual systems smh.

As i know theat hardware status polling interval is possible to change but my requirement here is,

When the alert is generated, do not send immediate email notifications to users, poll for some intervals and then send notification.

is this possible in HP SIM?

Also is there any tool/script to setup the CPU and memory thresholds on all the managed node's SMH

hi,

hp sim just reacts to events as they come in so apart from adjusting the interval and retry on the polling there is'nt much more you can do there.
