I am trying to get SIM 5.2 sp2 installed. I need to do this for some testing before doing production upgrades to 5.3 on my production system.
I am having issues with setting up the connection to the DB during installation. I keep getting the "Insufficient rights to database" message when trying to setup the connection.
Here is what I have in the fields.
Username: BOB
Password: *********
Domain: MY Domain
Host: SQL hosting DB (SQL farm server)
Instance name: (use exisiting) MSSQLSERVER
Database: master
Port: XXXX
Any help would be appriciated.
Thanks
Brian

It should be your Insight database, not master. If it's a fresh install of SQL 2005, ensure that your connecting user has sufficient rights and that the SQL install hasn't been locked down via the Surface Area config tool.

I'd also recommend against the 5.3 upgrade in general until the numerous issues get sorted.

-Matt
