Automatic Event Handling - Major events email every 15 minutes

Is there anyway to configure SIM to not email the same event every 15 minutes all night long. It would be nice to recieve one email only.

Basically it's Backup Exec emailing us that Human Intervention is required to change the tape. This goes on until someone finally remembers to change the tape.

hi,

no, hp sim does not do event aggregation, if you need more functionality in that area you have to start paying for it with hp ovo for example.
the only other way might be to do a lot of tailoring on your AEH tasks.

HP SIM will send an email every time it receives a trap. Backup Exec must be sending repetitive events. You should look into configuring it cause it's the problem.
