Not sure as I don't manage many Linux clients. But you may want to look at the Trust mechanism selected. I use trust by certificate as it seems to work quite well.

New installation SIM 5.3 on Linux, managing Linux targets. Target system is discovered, the HP SIM Identification, Product Description, and Firmware/Software Revision data is populated, but Selecting "System Management Page" just results in a timeout. Checking the access_log in /var/spool/opt/hp/hpsmh/logs on the target system shows connection from HP SIM --

192.168.108.149 -- [Date..] "GET /Proxy/GetKey/ HTTP/1.1" 200 10

What credentials are missing on the target system ?

Where can I look for additional information to troubleshoot this ?

Tcpdump on target system shows connections on port 2381 from the SIM CMS .

Many thanks !
