Each day at 0500 and 1600 we get a Logon Failure for root from HPSIM. The failure at 1600 is the Daily system ID task. I cannot find a task that runs at 0500. Is it possible to stop HPSIM from using root to login?

This is an AIX system SIM is trying to login to. We do not allow root to login. I want to keep the AIX system in SIM so we can receive notification if it goes off line.

I am running HPPSIM 5.1 with SP1 - Window

You'll find the system credentials under Options, Protocol settings, System protocol settings.

The only problem I got right now is that it still uses the global settings too even if some system settings are applied.

David,

Yes it still trys as root even though I specified credentials.

I guess you can not disable this?

Where is the credentials that Root uses stored?
