Back to the issue, is the server ID'd in any way or does it show up as type unknown etc.

SNMP should be enough to identify the device. Do an ID task and have a look at the results.

Hi,

I have a sim server where the os on certain devices isn't detected.

this is straight windows and I used getif to see if the problem is snmp - it isn't

anyone have any ideas why this wouldn't be detected?

it doesn't show up as unknown it just shows up like a normal server (ilo, software etc) and just no os detected.

I've used getif to see if snmp is working and it is, but still no os detected.
