Hi All,

I have just tried a remote migration and none of my events and other things I have in CIM 7 have gone across. I re ran the Migration Tool on the CIM 7 box and copied across the new dmt file to the server and tried to re import the data but it keeps telling me that I have done a migration already and cannot run it again.

Is there a way for me to make it reimport the data as I have a whole lot of events and tasks that I have set up (which has taken me days to do) and I don't particularily want to re do them all.

Thanks in advance

Hi Jason,

Events are not migrated. It is possible to reimport items that did not get migrated correctly. This is explained in the whitepaper Transitioning from Insight Manager 7 to HP Systems Insight Manager 4.1

http://www.hp.com/wwsolutions/misc/hpsim-helpfiles/HPSIM_Transitioning_IM7.pdf

Hi Joel,

The first time I did the migration all events and tasks did get migrated. I have since rebuilt the server and started again, this time they were not...

I will look at the link you have given me... thank you...
