Success!

Well, the problem was the SNMP settings in Windows 2003. You need to manually add the server or set the option to accept all (like in windows 2000 and nt4).

Thank you all for your help!

Andy
HELP!
Well, after scanning my IP Subnets for Compaq and HP Server the "All Systems" Tab only show Linux and Windows 2000 Servers but not my Windows 2003 Server. On the Windows 2003 Server side the latest HP Supportpack + HP Management Agents are installed and configured. SNMP is also installed and configured.
Is there something special to do that the HP SIM is able to "see" the Windows 2003 Machines? I've no idea where the problem could be.

Thanks and greetings from germany.

Andy C.

Hello,

In windows 2003 the default settings for SNMP, tab security, is Accept SNMP pockets from these host : localhost. For properly discovered system in HPSIM you must add IP or name of your HPSIM server and 127.0.0.1 (localhost).

Ivan
