HP SIM - Can you alert once for a reoccurring Event.

I have some devices that create alot of events of the same type. I would like to be emailed once for this type of Event until it clears. Is there a way of doing this?

E.g.
Device is a Cisco switch which has a faulty fan, but puts out 100's of Events of the same type. Just want to be emailed once for this type of event.

Please help?

Not directly no, that's not the way HP SIMs Event Handle works.
You could have a specific event handler for this device and then use a custom script.

You'd then need to check for previous events.

Might be easier to fix the faulty fan.
