I believe you must configure the Management Agents under the Process Monitor tab to monitor if the SQL service has stopped. Hint: Control panel -> HP Managment Agents.
Start there ans see if you can get the agents to send a trap to HP SIM when the service stops or restarts.

Hello everyone,

the subject is to short for my issue. I have a server for hp sim and another server where the sql database for hp sim is.

When i restart the sql server i get no email notification from hp sim. Is this a normal condition because HP SIM cannot access the database with all the settings and server data ?

Thanks for your answers.

Greets
Stephan
