    <description>set up process starts &amp;amp; presents a dos menu. I select install, HP SIM windows appears. It tells me that " Pre installation" is "done" &amp;amp; "Installation" is "not run". The finish button is highlighted on this windows. I click on finish &amp;amp; go back to dos menu.&lt;BR /&gt;I have read through the read me &amp;amp; dont find any known issues with W2K. Any idea.&lt;BR /&gt;The server is Proliant DL380.</description>

      <description>I had the same problem :( and still didnt found the solution. There is only small difference  - I got this error when i installed w2k sp4 using RDP, if you use SmartStart installation it works !</description>

      <description>I am have similar issue. The install will go until "initializing datase and stay there forever. In the event log (Application) it shows the MxDomainManger is starting and restarting. But, The install will never finish. I am currently running W2K SP4 with all the latest patches (Yiks!)and the system is a ML530...</description>

      <description>The installation hang occurs because when the SIM database is created it uses the collation sequence specified during the SQL 2000 installation.  If that collation sequence had been changed from the default (SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS) then the SIM installer has problems when creating the necessary database tables.</description>
