Does HP support Insight manger as a virtual machine?

I am looking to find out if HP supports HP SIM as a VM under vSphere.

If yes, is there any info supporting this on a website?

As of HP SIM 5.3 you can install it on a Virtual Server with the limitation that you cannot use the RSP aspect of SIM.

I've not seen anything that specifically covers installation on vSphere, the last install guide just covered ESX 3.

New, with the just released version A.05.40 you can run RSP also on a virtual instance. For more details refer to the release notes.

Be aware that the resource requirements for a management application are not entirely consistent with the resources available with a virtual machine. While it may WORK and may be SUPPORTED, you are unlikely to be satisfied with it except in the smallest of environments (definitely <500, more likely <100) or test situations.

Is there any documentation out there outlining resource requirements?
