A while since I played with VMM, but I thought trial VMM licenses were available. I think you do need to license the host with a trial license before you can get things to work.

I have the following question:

I register a Virtual Machine Host, the Host is a BL460c G6 with VMware ESX 4.0 U1 without License in a trial mode. When I register the Host I have the following error: failed to establish communication with VM Host.

I see in the Manual that the error is because does not have valid license. Can you confirm the error is because the License or for another reason.

Greetings,
Christhian

Hi Rob,

The Host that I try to register with VMM have a license for VMM but don't have a license for ESX.

I see in the Manual that the error is because does not have a valid license for VMware. Do you thing that the error is because the license or for another reason.

Greetings,
Christhian
