topic Clustering SIM 4.1 in Server Management - Systems Insight Manager

I understand about SIM 4.1 creating a new database everytime you install it my question is if you wanted to cluster SIM 4.1 how would you do it since each NODE creates a new database rather than giving you the option to delete the old database?

I have tried to configure SIM 4.1 on a simple two node cluster using the instructions found at http://www.hp.com/wwsolutions/misc/hpsim-helpfiles/simdply.pdf but it doesn't seem to apply to SIM 4.1. Has anyone clustered SIM 4.1 yet?

Hi,
we clustered HPsim4.1 last week. Each node creates his own database, but you can create another database in sql, copy the ingredients from the automaticly created ones to the one you created and switch the odbc path to the new created database on each node. This should work well.

Thanks. Changing the ODBC connection properties worked for me.
