We are implementing "ProLiant DL380 G6" servers (I believe we have also seen this withProLiant BL460c G1 as well) in our environment and have been hit with a few "message storms" where we will receive thousands of messages from the ILO with the event types:
Server Reset Detected (9001)
Server Power Outage (9002)

I will only see a few of these messages in the ILO 2 event log. This can severly impact our SIM server, which we rely on for our remote monitoring.

Any advice on how to eliminate these storms, or where they actually are initiated??

Thanks in advance.
No update on this, I called HP-SIM support, they informed me it wasn't SIM since SIM basically sits and waits for SNMP traps, however, when you look at the ILO log, it only has the one or two events.

I have completely clean our CMS of all events, I'm waiting for this to happen again, at which point I will call HP-SIM support and IFF they try to send me to Server/ILO support I will request they stay on the line.
