topic HP SIM 5.3 and Liebert MIB files in Server Management - Systems Insight Manager

Does anyone know how to get the Liebert MIB files to work with SIM 5.3 ? The files compile Ok and I compiled them in the order listed in the readme file, but when I try to add liebert_gp_agent.cfg it gives the familiar "MIB node has no parent error." A couple of the other cfg files give the same error as well. Liebert was no help whatsoever. All they said was the MIB files are correct and basically said they couldn't help.

I cannot recall the details but HP SIM doesn't support nested loops in MIBs.<BR />It's been covered in the forum before.

I saw a message about nested loops. In that message it look like the problem happened while trying to compile. All the files compile Ok though. When I try to register them with mxmib -a is when I get the error.

I had the same problem. I ended up calling Liebert also and they sent me the compiled files for HP Sim. I'll add them here for anyone that needs them.
