VCA v6.1.0.841 not showing drive firmware

In previous versions of the Version Control Agent you had the option to install drive firmware.
This seem to be gone in the latest version (6.1.0.841).

Can anyone confirm this?

We use this feature alot, so if it has been removed (for some reason) we have to revert to the old version 2.2.1.830.

We have the same situation.
We miss Firmware Level of Power Management and the P400 (DL380G5)
Instead we are getting MapperVersion with the new version.

Hmm, I didn't even notice, but in fact they are all 64bit systems. Thanks for the heads up :)

I haven't tried vca v6.1.0.841 on a 32bit system yet it seems. But I assume the option to upgrade drive firmware will still be there then - as long as the WBEM agents are installed, which they are on all our systems. Up until today I couldn't figure out what we needed them for. But I guess that also clears up that question :)

This is apparently a bug in VCA v6.1.0.841.
VCA v6.1.0.842 fixes this issue.

With VCA v6.1.0.842 I get a different problem though - now I'm not seeing controller firmware in the VCA inventory! :/

I have no problems getting drive firmware information on 64bit systems with VCA v6.1.0.842 though.

which is having fixes,
1. Disk drive firmware not being displayed in the native 64 bit VCA inventory list

What about 32bit version? Not seeing storage controllers in the list, or drive firmware.

Just an update......I tried install WBEM on a 2003 enterprise server. DL360 G6. It showed hard drive firmware, but still does not show controller firmware. What do I need to do so I can see if my storage controller is up to date or not?

You need to downgrade to VCA version 2.2.2.835. - That's what we have done.

What is even worse is that the firmware version of the array controllers is complete missing in the 842 version of VCA...
