I have to say, I'm extremely disappointed with sim manager 6.
I have v5.3 running on win2k8sp2 with no issues. I'm using SQL2005SP3 as database.
I tried to upgrade to v6, but Email won't work (both alert or test Email).
Everytime I tried to send a test Email, I got Email can not be sent, authentication error. but our Email server doesn't require authentication.

so I build a new win2k8r2 and install sim 6 directly. Still having same issue.
I have to say, how come HP will pass through this product without testing?

P.S: nothing in the log file either.

If you think it's a bug and that's what your testing indicates then log a call with HP.
There have been similar threads, so there may be an issue. The more info. HP can get on the issue the more they're likely to be able to fix it.

I have to say, the free service from HP is not good. After 3 days debug, they only sent me help document and ask me to check mail server setting despite I tole them what I have tested.

Well, the service is free, but respond is slow and they don't really care it's really a bug or what.

Must be some type of config issue or something. Testing in the lab shows everything is fine. I would highly suggest logging support cases so we can figure this out.

same Problem here

HP SIM 6.2
OS W2k8 R2
Exchange W2k3

for testing with my personal E-mail adress it worked fine. I got every Hardwarefailure message to my mailbox. This was for test only.
Now I wanted to change the mailbox, where the colleagues can either receive the messages from HP SIM in a global mailbox. Even I change the mailbox into the new global mailbox, I still receive the messages in my personal mailbox.
Question: Where in HPSIM are those informations stored? Is there a workaround for this problem?
Thanks in advance...
