      <description>With HP hardware with the HP Agents installed that's what happens. The agents monitor the hardware and will advise if any pre-failure conditions are detected.&lt;BR /&gt;You need to install the Proliant Support Pack suitable for your hardware. You need to configure SNMP to send traps to HPSIM.</description>

      <description>Yes fred prefailure warranty alerts. But I think rob hit on it well. Can you add to Rob commments or just running th PSP and configuring SNMP traps would work. do I have to do any addtional config in SIM or RSP.  I have one issue ESX doesn't have a PSP.</description>

      <description>A PSP is available for ESX. Go to HP.COM, select Softwe &amp;amp; Drivers, enter the HP Model number and then go from there.&lt;BR /&gt;It's not available for ESXi - for that you need the HP ESXi Bundle and it uses wbem, not SNMP.</description>
