I'm also seeing this, with WBEM agent version 2.6.0 and it seems to trigger some sort of chain reaction, as everytime this happens (approx. 1 month apart), I'm getting spammed with this event afterwards:

An I/O operation initiated by the Registry failed unrecoverably. The Registry could not read in, or write out, or flush, one of the files that contain the system's image of the Registry.

This error is then logged every 5 seconds, until I reboot the server.
Hi,
I have a problem with managed servers that Management Agents have installed on.
On some of our server, after installing the agents, i received some warning as below:

---------
Event Type: Warning
Event Source: HP Wbem Dump
Event Category: Other
Event ID: 1002
Date: 6/12/2010
Time: 1:07:10 AM
User: N/A
Computer: DBSO1D1PR10
Description:
HP WBEM data was captured and compressed as a raw data format.
Original Size=834265, Compressed Size=20766, WMI Queries=24, WMI Instances=298, WMI Properties=4133.
Failed class List: CIM_ManagedSystemElement
.....
---------

And meanwhile, the server shut down unexpectedly without any reason.
I thought the WBEM protocol package has not correctly installed and has some problems; so i removed and reinstalled management agents, but the warning remains.
Has anyone ever seen such warning message?
What is the solution?
Thanks a lot.

We are having the same problems, but it only seems to occur on some servers that have the WBEM Agents installed, while others are fine

HP Wbem Dump / 1002
HP WBEM data was captured and compressed as a raw data format.
Original Size=1391475, Compressed Size=45752, WMI Queries=23, WMI Instances=465, WMI Properties=8330, Total Count=1, Log Number=1, Date=07-21-10, Time=17:46:57
Failed class List:
CIM_OwningCollectionElement
CIM_MemberOfCollection

Has anyone got any ideas?

We don't use Wbem, so for us, the solution was to just remove this agent from Add/Remove Programs / Programs and Features. We use SNMP.

Once this was removed, after a re-boot error went away.
