HP Sim 6.0 event data missing

we have noticed over the past few weeks we are starting to get alerts sent to us with the events data missing. it shows the Event Identification and Details but no detail

any ideas.

we have a second site also running sim 6.0 but that works fine

Hi.
We are having a similar issue with the trap 10005 - Rising threshold passed.
With the new SIM 6.0 CMS, the content of the email is : "No additional information was provided. The event or device was probably deleted."
With the old 5.3 CMS, the informations are normal.
I'll try to recompile the mib. Any information about this is welcome.

I have the same problem as Oliver with SIM 5.3.
Severity and Information is available, but no details..

I had the same problem with SIM6.0.

I had fixed this problem by applying MIB Update Tool Kit 8.40.

did not work for me either,
not MIB Update Kit 8.4 nor 8.5...

anybody any more ideas?!

Hello.
Well, Sim 6.0 has messed up a bit on my CMS. I have restarted the service, the log shows that it has re-imported all the mibs.
And now the datas are missing again from the message I receive.
I've ran the 8.40 update again -> no success this time
I deleted then imported the cpqhlth.mib file - not better.

I hope Sim 6.1b will repair that issue unless someone can give us a solution.

we updated all are sim installs to 6.1 and every thing is working again

Are you running 6.1 or 6.1b? Can you post the version and build date so I can compare.

My build version is C.06.01.00.00
build date 2010-07-19 07:48

Finally I fixed it.
For me, only the following procedure worked fine:

- unregister cpqthrsh.mib
- delete cfg file
- recompile mib
- re-register

hope this works for you too.
