HP SIM 6.1b installation without internet access

Hi all,

just wondering is there a document or instructions on how to install HP SIM 6.1b without internet connection. my HP SIM server does not have internet access, so connecting to the internet is a no-no (according to my security guys). so is there a way of me installing it and bypassing the checks?

if you have the HPSIM installer downloaded already then you dont need internet access. Just initiate the install from the system and it will do it.. post the result

You need the internet access for the registration. But this could be done on an different system or you can ask your local HP support for the registration key.

It gets tricky if you want to use Insight Remote Support Advanced. But there is also a possible solution for more secure environments.

I'm installing 5.3, it errors out with connectivity to "HP Support Center". I run the setup.exe, it gets to company information, region, and when hitting next, It errors. Attached is my error log:

Thanks for any advice out there. Is it possible to get this thing setup without internet access?

@Charlie your log is for Insight Remote Support, not HP SIM. It is NOT possible to install/use Insight Remote Support without internet connectivity. Also, 5.3 is very old (3 versions have been released since) and should not be used for any new installs.
