hi!

is there a way to avoid "false" hardware status polling messages?

i have set up a rule that critical events are sent to a distribution list. when i need reboot a server it happens that a critical event is created and sent out to the distribution list.

i´d like to change this in a way that after a system is not reachable for e.g 10 minutes a message is sent out.

i hope ther is a way to do this - if not, would be a good feature for the next release.

brgds De

Currently HP SIM does not have this functionality.

Tim McGue has written a vbscript to enhance automatic event handling. It is available in the HP SIM tools and scripts forum.

http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=587372
