topic HP SIM Failover and data replication in Server Management - Systems Insight Manager

Hello,

We are thinking of setting up an HP SIM installation following the white paper: Automating Failover Event Handling on Two
HP Systems Insight Manager Servers White
Paper.

We also want to implement HP Insight Control Power Management and continually update rack design in HP SIM.

However shall we need a failover we would then loose all information regarding server to racks relationship as well as vertical positionning of servers inside racks.

Is there a way to achieve replication of data. Insight Control data in this case to the failover instance of HPSIM?

Thanks in advance.

If your SQL Server is a clustered instance that both primary and failover HP SIM instances use that should solve the problem.
