https://community.hpe.com/t5/server-management-systems/crazy-firewall-problem-during-discovery/m-p/4741652#M42940 I've been trying to figure this out for days. <BR />I've read the SIM firewall manual, but it isn't helping. <BR /><BR />this is the problem:<BR />Discovery can NOT be successful unless i turned off the Public Profile Firewall. I even try as far as enabling port 0-65535 through all the network profile(domain, private, and public) and enabled ICMPv4 on all network profile, but discovery process still can't work unless i turned off the Public Profile firewall off.<BR /><BR />Configuration:<BR />SIM server is running 2008 r2<BR />Managed server, server1 is running 2008 R2<BR /><BR />PING setting in SIM Server is set to use port 80.(which means i do not need to create ICMP exception on my firewall)<BR /><BR />server1 is JOINED TO COMPANY DOMAIN. <BR />server1 has multiple network connection(iscsi, failover) but they are all on a separate private network, not reachable from the domain network.
