Version Control Agent doesn't install Firmware Update for SmartArray

Hello everyone,

i have a problem with installing the newest firmware updates for SmartArray (Online ROM Flash Component for Windows - Smart Array P212, P410, P410i, P411, P712m, and P812).

When i try to install them over the VCA it says "newer version is already installed" even when i try to update from 3.00 to 3.66.

When i install the update manually it works with no problem.

Anyone has the same issue ? Also i can't update the iLO 3 firmware (anymore) with VCA because it just don't show up.

Hi Stephan,

make sure that VCA tries to install cp014344.exe (3.66B).
My VCM did not download that automatically. I had to add it manually.

The first 3.66 (cp014168.exe) was erroneous.

I already did this and rebuilt the catalog.

It started when there was a fix containing the possibility to add a HP StorageWorks 600 Modular Disk System.
