Moving SQL Express Server 2005 for SIM 6.2

Hello,

I recently installed SIM 6.2 in our environnement and every is working pretty good so far. I noticed that SQL was installed on my C:\ drive and would like to move it to another drive on my server.

I searched a little and I can't seem to find any info on this topic. I know I could move the database but how do I tell SIM where it will reside from now on.

Any ideas?

Yes, you should be able to export the express DB and move it elsehwere. I used SQL 2008 express as it has a complete management studio which is very handy for such things.

Steps:
- Stop all SI services
- Backup DB
- Export or move
- Modify this file \config\database.props (in the Systems Insight Manager installaion directory)

- Start services and test
