The Email uses the node name you have inside SIM. I can only guess that the access from the email system is in a different DNS domain.

I could add a search domain to the dns settings of you mail client system.

Or you can play with the discovery settings of SIM. In this case the system name will be stored different.

Depending what URL problem you really have,
it could also be that you need to cleanup the DNS entries for your systems. Check the log of the identify system for more details. SIM give you some hints how to fix the problem if some information is missing.

I think you can do this by customizing one of the config files. I'll do some research ;)

Sorry Discovery options was wrong you should find the settings under
options->Security-System Link Configuration

Choose the name format to use when creating links to managed systems. When browsing to systems using SSL, the system's name should match the name in the system's certificate to prevent browser warnings.

Use the system name
Use the system IP address
Use the system's full DNS name

Looks like it can be customized in this file:

<INSTALL directory="">\Systems Insight Manager\config\globalsettings.props

Modify the 'EmailKeywords' section appropriately.
:)</INSTALL>
