HP SIM 6.3 Dell Integration

I was having trouble getting my Dell Server I support as well to fully communicate to SIM 6.3 I just stood up so I tried loading the latest MIB's and the MIB variables keep showing blank. I have tried deleting the compiles and imported MIBS and even an older MIB but I am just getting nowhere. The only document I can find goes back to SIM 5.0. Anybody else having this issue? I wish I had just left well enough alone at this point.

The latest version of the document regarding mibs compilation is the following I think.

The one you are manetionning is probably the dell document that explains how to integrate dell servers in an HP SIM environnemnt.

Which version of the mibs are you trying to compile ? HP SIM comes by default with a few Dell mibs in C:\Program Files\HP\Systems Insight Manager\mibs (dell10892.mib, dellarymgr.mib) Have you tried those ?

Fred The default ones were not grabing all the information as well as I had it working in 5.X so I thought I would try the later MIB Thanks for the info. I will see if I can correct what i messed up.

Have you unregister the old mibs prior to try the latest ones. Be aware That HP SIM doesn't support V2.V3 Mibs.

I did unregister the old mib. I have also tried re-registering the default mib. No matter what I do the Dell10892.mib does not contain any mib variables

I am having the same issues with 6.3 and the DELL mibs. Did you ever find a fix for this issue?

Hi,

Please unregister and delete the MIB files from the Mibs folder. The MIB files to be used for Dell Server monitoring are dcstorage.mib and 10892.mib files.

Please refer the article @ http://en.community.dell.com/techcenter/systems-management/w/wiki/3891.monitoring-dell-servers-in-hp-systems-insight-manager.aspx for integrating the Dell Servers in HP SIM.
