Can I reinstall HP SIM4.2 and point to the existing database or will SIM 4.2 try to create another database?

I'm still having an issue with SIM crashing locally on the server.

Just installed SIM 4.2, when I Term. service to the SIM server and try to launch SIM, I get a pop up window to select "YES or cancel", I'm assuming this is part of Java and after I select YES, the whole SIM application close's down. (server is a 360G3). I have SQL on another server running SQL.
My question is IF i reinstall SIM 4.2, can I still use/point too, the existing database that I'm using now. I really don't want to re-discover all my servers, security reasons.
Hope I supplied enough info. thanks Frank
Is this an upgrade or new install of HPSIM 4.2?

What happens if you browse to https://HPSIMServer:50000 from a remote workstation?

Any idea what the Yes or Cancel is referring to?

Rob
Thanks for replying,
It's a new install.

What happens if you browse to https://HPSIMServer:50000 from a remote workstation?
When I browse to the server through https://
SIM seems to function fine, I have seen no problems managing SIM this way.

The pop up box is the Security Alert box.
it says "Information you exchange with this site cannot be viewed or changed by other. However, there is a problem with teh sites security certificate.

My options here are YES, NO, or View Certificate.
I normally choose Yes here to enter SIM, or at least in the past (SIM 4.1)I did.
But once I choose Yes here, the whole SIM program close's down.
thanks Frank

What does the link look like that you're having problems with? If this is a saved bookmark with the Session ID then edit that out.
Is this from the Icon where HPSIM was installed?

Does the entire Browser session crash?
