I'm getting the same error, but mine occurs any time I make any change whatsoever to the collection. If I take a custom collection, and make any changes to it, the collection empties itself.

I can get the collection back only by re-creating it.
Hi all,
i just 'upgraded' to 5.0 (from 4.2 SP) and have an issue with the Custom System List that i have and use as a display item for the entire department (and most everything else): I create a system list with: where 'System Name' 'does not start with' and then my excludes, so that the list kinda add's systems as it discovers them if they match the search. It worked yesterday, i had to add an exclusion (as systems showed up) and when i clicked on the list/search, it shows Collection is empty. I went back to the Edit screen, clicked on View and the list showed up on the bottom just fine.. Very bad, as most of my custom tasks and authorizations are based on that list. I re-set it up, after unlinking every piece, and it seems to work fine this am. I just added 2 more exclusions (with 'does not start with') to the end of the list and same thing happens. I removed those exclusions again, No Luck.. Granted i have close to 40 exclusions in my list, but that never presented a problem in 4.2.. Arrrghhh

Any help appreciated..

PS: 'Upgrade' as in: Had to uninstall as the upgrade failed midway between uninstalling 4.2 and installing 5.0, no old 4.2 running/available, no upgrade. Uninstall everything manually, reinstall and resetup every custom bit..

The HP Engineers were able to replicate the problem (at around 20 exclusions it breaks). It used to work before in 4.2..

Correct, i had the same thing. The only way was to create it perfect and not touch it afterwards, which isnt feasable in my case as i am working with a semi-automatic/dynamic system list, that is supposed to be worked on (ie. filtering out systems as they come in). Worked ok in 4.2, not so much in 5.0...
