I have 1 server that fails on system management homepage(null info all across the board) and fails during logical disk drive reporting. I noticed the VCA fails in the logs and I assume that is part of the reason for the reporting failure as all attempts to "repair smnp agents" fails also. This is not the CMS and I need to know what software to re-install exactly as I can only reboot this server during a scheduled time. For example all or just SIM 4.2, software version control, PSP etc.

Would it make a difference if I download the latest version and my CMS is on an older version?

No. That should not be a problem. SIM 4.2 is capable of handling the newer versions.
