Hi,

I know about this special package and that's what is installed on the server.

In fact I made a mistake on the first post, it seems that the cause is more the cpqriisd daemon (Rack Infrastructure interface service) that is causing the pb....

Hi,

I experienced a pb with the following configuration:
Compaq management agents 6.4
Linux Red Hat
Proliant DL580 G2

When starting the cmawebd daemon, the server freezes and it's only by disabling the daemon start and rebooting the server that normal operation can be recovered.

Is this a bug or is there some special configuration to do?

Thanks for your help

Denis

Your subject line mentions VMware. If you are referring to ESX, a special tarball of the agents is available from http://h71019.www7.hp.com/ActiveAnswers/cache/71082-0-0-0-121.aspx and should be used in place of the normal Linux agents in the service console.

The rack infrastructure service only applies to blade servers. Disable that and see what happens.
