    <description>Hi Rick,&lt;BR /&gt; For the OVERTEMP_CRIT threshold I don't think you get any warning, envd shuts the system down straight away.  &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I'm not sure if HPSIM will give any warnings.  If you have OnlineDiags installed, including the EMS HW Monitors, there should be a warning at a lower threshold from dm_chassis, I think.    Was anything logged in /var/opt/resmon/log/event.log?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Andrew</description>

      <description>Hi all:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Working with HPSIM 5.0 on HPUX 11.11 CMS.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The cooling fan went out on system (HPUX 11.00 A500-7X) and the OVERTEMP_CRIT threshold was exceeded and the system halted.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;How could I have received alerts for this condition?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
