HP SIM - Version Control Agent is not available.

I am trying to deploy the HP Agents to a server but the task keeps failing with the error "Version Control Agent is not available" anyone know how I can get round this.

I've managed to deploy PSP but all that was installed was the Homepage and the VCA.

Hiya,

You could use the Remote Deployment Utility (setup.exe located within the PSP) to install components such as the VCA.

If you want to use the CMS though, the client will need to trust the CMS. Log into the clients System Management Homepage and check:
settings -> system management homepage -> security -> trust mode

If you're using certificates (recommended) you can import the CMS cert here.

You could also set this on multiple servers by using the Configure or Repair Agents option from within HPSIM
