So maybe I'm dumb, but I've adjusted these to 120 seconds for timeout and 5 retries, but still I get "system unreachable" notifications when I just reboot a server. Maybe someone can further explain these settings or do I just need to do something silly like reboot the SIM server for them to take effect...?

Also, I'm fine with the default schedule of every 5 minutes. What I'd like to do with this poll is basically: run every 5 minutes, but if the server doesn't respond after 2 consecutive polls, then send the notification.

FYI, if anyone still cares, the solution to this is to change the schedule for the Hardware Status Polling for Servers task to every 10 minutes, instead of 5 minutes. Now I can reboot a server and not get notifications that a server is down...
