Once you go through the "Change Agent Settings" in the VCA the password is configured. If you preconfigure the password then it is set. The "Change Agent Settings" screen will no longer prepopulate the password - if you decied to go through the settings screen again you will have to type in the password. It is a change listed in the revision history for this release of the VCA, listed as the "re-verification" of the password.

-Rich

Hi all,
I just completed my "migration" from an old server, SIM 5 sp3 to a new server on SIM 5 sp5. Even changed the SQL database server while i was at it.. We added more systems in, but when the new version cam eout 7.60a, i configured the SMH & VCA to be rolled out. I tested a few machines, but some, not all, have seem to have lost the preconfigured password in the VCA config. I double checked: It's still in the Repository.
When i roll it out, it seems to be blanked out. Could this be IE "Security"?

I just manually configured a Win2k3 on a desktop, has SMH & VCA. I set the password manually, now, it's gone again..

Tia!
Stefan
